25 Weeks
Fruit size: Eggplant (or vegetable...)
Average weight: 1.8 - 2.2lbs. This little porker weighs 2.2lbs. (Hey at least we're still in the average range!) He's measuring about 2 weeks big for his age but good news is that it's nothing to be concerned about.
Still a Boy! We have more picture proof. I mean SRSLY! I believe it already! I'm not sure WHY every ultrasound person thinks we need a printed picture with all his business bared for the world to see!!! HAHA!! We have PLENTY of pictures to prove it. And I believe it! Even Nick has stopped asking 'it's still a boy right??' :)
The Best: The private dance parties. SOMEBODY likes to dance and move and flip and pump iron and poke me in the (inside of my) belly button. just sayin. He moves so much and so forcefully I swear he's like a sea monster in there. You can see him 'surface' from time to time. It's much more than a regular kick or jab. You can SEE him kind of surface (I swear it's his whole back or head) and then turn and roll on back down to the deep (out of sight).
The Worst: Not sleeping and having to sleep on my sides. I give myself brief periods of 'lay on my back' time some nights just to feel comfortable for a couple minutes.
Cravings: Corn dogs, Salads with chicken (covered in hot sauce) and CHEESE!!!!
What I miss: Fruit galore. I love it. He loves it. But it's just way to carb heavy and not filling enough for all the insulin I'd have to take to eat it. However, as with frosting (i mean cake) - I just limit it. Which I get for sugar. I don't need it anyway. But it's been kind of sad to limit fruit.
Best things from the week:
- Going to the (remaining TWO) doctors and getting good reports! A1c is really low and good. Blood Pressure is low and good. Weight gain is good. Lack of swelling is good. Other blood work was good.
- Going to the OB and getting an ultrasound (every time from here on out)! Probably the only perk of being considered High Risk.
- Getting poked(!!) in the belly by some random kid (WHO I DON'T KNOW) at school and having him exclaim: "WHOA!! You're having a baby too?!!?" All I could do was laugh and say: well I certainly hope so(!) being called out like that!!! Geez! LOL!
- Having my kindergarteners STILL not notice (or care). I'd like to think that to them it's just normal to see a pregnant grown up and it's nothing worth mentioning. Although I did love it when I got a hug the other day and the kid's head bounced off of my belly b/c it's so hard. He stepped back and gave it the weirdest look!
- Sweet back rubs in the middle of the night. Even though he's probably doing it to get me to STOP MOVING! So he can get some sleep too. LOL I'm on to you, Nick. ;)

| I like the bottom one better b/c it shows a hand. Which looks suspiciously close to having a thumb find its way to a mouth to be sucked on... |

aaawwwww that is really great, he's going to hit the ground running!! Can't wait to watch your belly moving. When you called this morning and told me his weight I was telling everyone, they get a kick out of me when I start telling them what's going on, think it's just so neat. Oh he will find his thumb but may not like it, neither you or Jason did! Maybe you can try singing him a lullaby so he'll go to sleep when you do! Love ya!!
He is just like his father! Nick was always active and moving around, especially at night.
Jen you are doing great. Won't be long until you are holding him in your arms. Can't wait to see him!
Awwwww....I love the ultrasound pictures...time is going by so fast. Only 90 more days...I am so excited for you Sis...and, I'm not going to lie...I am pretty excited to be an Auntie!
