*chills*
I remember how it felt seeing Hogwarts for the first time...in 2002.
I'm not ready to see the end.
Some memorable quotes from HP7:
"Just tell me one thing, is this real? Or has this been happening inside my head?"
"Of course it's happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean it's not real?"
"Here lies Dobby. A free elf."
"Does it hurt?"
"Dying? Not at all. It's quicker and easier than falling asleep."
"He read the letter again, but could not take in any more meaning than he had done the first time, and was reduced to staring at the handwriting itself. She had made her "g"s the same way he did. He searched the entire letter for them. It was an incredible treasure, proof that [his mother] had lived, really lived, that her warm hand had once moved across this parchment, tracing ink into these letters, these words, words about him, Harry, her son. Brushing the wetness from his eyes he reread the letter again. It was like listening to a half-remembered voice."
"But they were not living. They were gone. The tears came before he could stop them. What was the point in pretending. He let them fall down to the thick snow, to the place where the last of [his mother and father] lay, not knowing that their living son stood so near, his heart still beating, alive because of their sacrifice and close to wishing, at this moment, that he was sleeping under the snow with them."
[Looking at the ghosts (?) of his parents before going off to what he thought was certain death]
Her smile was widest of all. And her green eyes, so like his, searched his face hungrily, as though she would never be able to look at him enough.
Harry: "You'll stay with me?"
His Dad: "Until the very end."
How am I ever going to make it through these movies?

Harry
What can I say? Even though I own all 6 DVDs and have watched them multiple times - I'd daresay I can quote most of the movies at this point - I will still drop everything to watch them on TV.
I even turned down going out for dinner after we went to see The Last Airbender at the theater today so we would be back in time for Harry 4.
Sad? Yes.
But I don't even care. I'm snuggled up on the couch with my popcorn and drink. Nick has burrowed in and has found things to do on his laptop. Thomas has curled up to sleep and is keeping my feet warm. And I'm loving it.
I sincerely hope that they don't stop doing these movie weekends after the 7th and 8th movies are out. I'd miss them terribly. B/c if you try to recreate the movie weekend experience with the DVDs - it's sadly just not the same. *sighs*
Well it's back on. Time to put the computer down. :-)
(oh how I love summer)

Because we needed a change...and other stuff...
You'd think Murphy took this one - but Thomas got the last jab making Murph scream like a little girl!
5. Savannah, Georgia July 2009
The steeple that the feather in Forrest Gump started floating down from.
Paula Deen's restaurant. That line wrapped around the block at 9:00 in the MORNING! For realz. NO food is worth waiting that long for. Sorry Paula. :(
What the??? A Ministry of Magic Visitor's Entrance in Savannah?? Who Knew?!? (Sorry -Harry Potter reference. I pity you if you don't get it. Srsly.)Also- see that pub next to it? That's the Six Pence Pub (where Julia Roberts looks through the window and sees her husband cheating on her in "Something to Talk About". Cool Huh?
JASPER County in my very own South Carolina?? Swoon!!!! 'nuff said.
There are more pics but I'm tired, it's late and blogger is taking for-freakin'-ever to upload these pics. So that's all for now.

Harry, m'boy
Will I see it again? Obviously.
Did I compare it to the book the whole time? Thankfully no.
Did I wear my HP DIY shirt? Yes and Veronica made and wore one too. Pic to come soon.
I think this is definitely the best one yet. I laughed (way too much), I (almost) cried, I jumped out of my skin when the hand came out of the water (Nick did too) even though I totally knew it was coming, I left the theater in a daze. All in all - Perfect experience!
I was so pleased with this movie. I won't go into too much detail b/c you wouldn't understand anyway. :( All I can say is that one sweet day when you do decide to see these movies ...you will understand. 'Nuff said.

Harry, I heart you...

The End.
I still need time to digest/recover from seeing it 24 hours ago. I will share when my brain can form coherent thoughts again. You might think that after a 13 hour HP marathon Tuesday and Wednesday and then going directly to the theater to see Half-Blood Prince (Harry Potter 6 - for you non fanatics), I would have overdosed and be ready for a HP break. Well my friend... you would be WRONG. If anything this has renewed my HP mania! I am continuing my re-read of the series now and am a couple chapters into the sixth book already. Only stopping to watch Big Brother (I no longer like Lydia by the way) and to peruse the internets to see what everyone else is thinking of the movie.
So now I am TOTALLY psyched to see the last (2) movies but I am also just as excited to see this movie again. I give it an A+! :) OH Yeah - There was a New Moon preview too. Veronica and I totally Squeeed like little girls and embarrassed Nick. :) LOL! At least we didn't have/bring WANDS to the movie... Wands that lit up and bothered people who were TYING to enjoy the wonderfulness that is this movie.
So yes, I am still alive and breathing. Just need more time to form thoughts before resuming any posting. So stay tuned... (I know you can't wait)

Susie Homemaker and DIY
How does it taste you ask?
Delicious! Oh Yeah! It may not be Peach Cobbler... but it's still good!
2. Do It Yourself T-Shirts
In my scouring of the internet to find suitable t-shirts for HP (harry potter for those not in the loop) and Twilight - I found NOTHING. Then when I managed to find a shirt that I might wear in public - I got bogged down on what size to get. I really hate having to return anything especially something that would have to be shipped back. So I finally decided maybe I could just make some. Well. Let. Me. Tell. You. It is not that easy (or perhaps maybe I'm just not that crafty - which is okay). First of all you sit there and doubt yourself for like 2 hours. Then you hesitate over and over again when it comes to putting anything on the actual shirt. So I delegated to Nick and he did a WONDERFUL job creating a Team Edward logo on the computer and then a line underneath to make it look like it belonged on a baseball shirt. So off we went to the store to get iron on transfers. Well the first one did NOT come out. So off I went to buy another shirt and some letter sponges to use instead. I guess he thought one more go was worth the chance so he printed another copy of the logo (in pink this time yay!) and tried it again. Well it still didn't come out perfect but I think it might work.
Check it:
Nick says it looks 'vintage'. I don't think it looks too bad. What do you think?
The other one is one I saw online that was also homemade. It is a little off center but I have to wait until it dries to see how it looks on. I am hoping that when it is on it won't be as noticeable. We'll see.
