***Random Post***

Did you know:  (because I didn't)

Question:  How could it be helpful to have cats on a farm?
(background info:  we are learning about farms - one book said that cats are on farms and that they help)

Answer:  To scare the tigers away.

Good to know.  good. to. know.

Awesome kid writing  (can you believe he's in kindergarten?  And he's not even my best writer?!?)

Not really sure what the red UFO is doing up there... PS - George is a hippo.)
"First Geogge was riding his roller skates.  Then George had trip over a crack and he had broke his tooth."

"Next George was sad.  Then he had went to the dentist.  Then the dentist had put a golden tooth in his mouth."
check OUT that gold tooth!!

"Last Martha had said 'you look handsome with that golden tooth'."

I just love the detail in the words AND pictures!!  Not to mention that he wrote this with ZERO help!  He spelled everything on his own (other than 'dentist') and did not have the book in front of him to copy.

Random Sweet Kid:

Journal Entry:
Disclaimer 1:  They write about anything they want each morning.  I do not give them a topic.
Disclaimer 2:  They haven't seen Mrs. Kathy (KaFey) in a long time!  And it's not like we had even recently talked about her.

Awww!!!  :)

My buddy.
He's too heavy to lay ON my belly .  So he perches on a pillow NEXT TO my belly now.  That white hump at the bottom of the picture is indeed, his newest friend, Baby Boy.

Can you find my shadow?  Tom Cat is never too far these days.

Heaven.

Little Victories

  • I've brushed my teeth without gagging for TWO DAYS IN A ROW!!!

  • I think I've finally worked out a way to get (keep) all FIVE of my pillows on my side of the bed and sleep semi comfortably.  Even if not soundly or deeply - comfortably is definitely a plus.

  • Vegetables and Salads are my friends again.

  • We agreed on a gender neutral theme and already bought bedding that makes us happy.  (Definitely not the biggest fan of blue everything just b/c he's a boy.)

  • We survived registering for baby stuff!!!  (Who knew that was SOOOO time consuming and tedious?!?! I nearly passed out/died from exhaustion at both places!)  However, I think people should be able to register for ANY/EVERY OCCASION!!  It's nice to know that people can see what we like and would like to have.  Instead of everyone guessing (or worse assuming) what we will like/want/need.  But then again, I've never been one for liking /wanting surprises.  (But I still think everyone having an Every Occasion Registry on file is a good idea.  It would definitely take the guesswork and headaches out of gift giving (and getting...).  haha)

  • I have survived 3 days of this work week so far - which means there are only two left.

  • Everything checked out with the Fetal Cardiologist!  Make that one LESS doctor I/we have to see.  WOO HOO!!    :)  That's really more of a BIG Victory!

  • I DO NOT have to do the gross Glucose Tolerance test next week (since we already know what that result would be).

  • Baby Boy is already making friends:
Thomas likes to talk (purr) to him.
And BB likes to respond by kicking/dancing.

Ahhhhh... Spring Break

Never gets old. I daresay I appreciate it so much more now than I ever did when I was going to school.

Also this:

Because it made my day.  Good job sounding out 'really'!  The best part is that this is exactly how he says it.
Love it.  :)

Words of Wisdom

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some are broken, some are whole, some have weird names, and all are different colors.... but they all learn to live in the same box.
